‘Merlin’
‘What do you want now, Arthur?’
‘There’s something lurking beneath the floorboards and not letting me sleep in peace. I want you to catch it right now!’ ordered the blonde prince haughtily
‘Yes, sire’ groaned Merlin
‘Isn’t this just perfect?!’ He muttered sarcastically
‘The greatest sorcerer ever lived has to use his magic powers to catch a rat which is disturbing the poor little Prince Prat’
‘What was that??’ said Arthur, his eyes narrowed.
‘Nothing’ He replied quickly
Merlin bent over and scanned the underneath the bed.
‘It’s a lizard that is disturbing your Majesty’s sleep’ He announced
‘What? Get rid of it at once!!’ yelled the prince, ‘It’s dangerous’
‘Wait a minute; don’t tell me Prince Arthur the valiant is afraid of an old wrinkled lizard
‘Scared? I’m not scared! Lizards are supposed to be miniature versions of giant, fire breathing, poisonous dragons!!’
‘Seriously, Arthur’ laughed Merlin rolling his eyes. ‘That’s the most ridiculous…
….There!! It’s behind you!’
‘Where?!’ yelped the prince jumping up
‘Behind You’ He said and fired a spell at the lizard.
‘Did I get it??’ He asked excitedly
‘No! And you are supposed to be the great warlock who is supposed to help me unite and rule Albion.’ He said sarcastically ‘Jeez, What were they thinking?!’
‘Yes Arthur, What exactly were they thinking?!’ retorted Merlin ‘You are supposed to be the mighty King Arthur, the greatest king Camelot has ever known-‘
‘You can’t talk to me like that. Oh forget it, you always talk to me like that. But right now we got a mission here- A lizard to catch’ Arthur reminded him
‘Mission?!’
Merlin started to guffaw, then spotted something
‘There!! Arthur dive!!’ he yelled
The Prince lunged at the lizard and the warlock lunged at the prince.
But the lizard escaped and Merlin was left holding the remains of Arthur’s torn pants.
‘Merlin, You Idiot’ He fumed
‘Sorry’ blushed Merlin
‘You good for nothing Idiot…’ he started, getting up and strutting towards Merlin
but he tripped over his own pants and crashed down, pining Merlin beneath him.
‘Oww….Get off’ cried poor Merlin almost flattened by the prince’s weight
‘This is all the lizard’s fault’ complained Arthur, pouting. ‘Where is the little pest anyway?’
‘On your head’ grinned Merlin
‘And what are you standing…uh-lying underneath me for? Get rid of it!’ He ordered his emerald eyes boring into Merlin’s sapphire ones.
‘Yes, sire’
He said and muttered a spell, the sapphires flashing topaz
Arthur gasped ‘Don’t ever do that again’
‘What? Kill a lizard’ asked Merlin obliviously
‘No, use magic’
‘Why not?’ he whined
‘Cause’ started Arthur looking into Merlin’s now sapphire eyes
‘Cause….’ He whispered, leaning in, he pressed his lips softly against Merlin’s
